Our firm represents and advises clients who are or might become involved in a lawsuit, arbitration or appeal as a result of a dispute, in a variety of areas including personal injury, employment, contract disputes and commercial matters. Our firm has a computerized litigation support system with the capability to provide detailed status reports at intervals selected by our clients, and to summarize, index and retrieve large volumes of information and documents. The system can be tailored to meet any special needs of our clients.

Our attorneys have a successful history of resolving disputes through negotiations and, if necessary, litigation, arbitration or other means. Our lawyers are experienced in dealing with highly qualified consulting and testifying expert witnesses to assist in the preparation and presentation of cases.
Business and Commercial Law
Our firm provides a wide range of services to our business clients, in assisting in the selection of the type of entity under which to operate, preparation of agreements and employee handbooks, sale and purchase of businesses, obtaining financing and funding for business operations, employee relations, and dissolution.
Insurance Law
For more than twenty years we have represented casualty and title insurance companies and their insureds in a wide variety of matters, including coverage disputes, personal injury, product liability, construction defect, bad faith, professional malpractice, and real estate litigation.
Real Estate
Our firm provides representation in complex real estate transactions, including purchase and sale, financing, construction, leases, closings and management. We are able to counsel clients on the appropriate choice of ownership entity in the real estate context and to assist in the formation of the selected entity. Two of our lawyers are Board Certified in Commercial Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. We have represented major lending institutions, construction lenders, municipalities, buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants. The practice of the Section includes conveying, sales and purchases of improved and unimproved property, real property financing, general banking and business practice, including sales and acquisitions, contracts, financing and foreclosures, particularly involving real estate, and title insurance-related questions.
Mediation
Our firm has four qualified mediators, all of whom have substantial litigation experience in business and commercial matters.
Creditor Representation
Our firm has extensive experience in the representation of lenders and other creditors in the commercial context, including debt collection, work-outs, loan restructurings and judicial and non-judicial foreclosure.
Bankruptcy
Our firm has extensive experience in creditor representation in all forms of bankruptcy, including asset recovery through adversary proceedings, lift stay proceedings, and counsel to creditor clients on the evaluation and analysis of debtor plans of liquidation or re-organization.
Employment Law
Our firm serves as an extension of a client's human resource department, providing a wide range of advice on all legal aspects of employment and labor relations. The firm advises clients on day to day issues arising among the work force such as wage and hour matters, Department of Labor concerns, discrimination issues and claims involving the EEOC and/or Texas Commission on Human Rights. For years, the firm has litigated hundreds of employment matters in both State and Federal Courts throughout the State of Texas.
Consumer Law
Our firm has extensive experience in representing clients in consumer matters, including defense of claims made under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

False Claims Act Litigation
We are experienced in representing relators, or "whistleblowers," in False Claims Act ("FCA") cases against companies and organizations that submit false claims to government agencies and programs for payment of government funds. The FCA imposes liability for treble damages and civil monetary penalties against wrongdoers responsible for false claims, and a successful whistleblower may receive up to 30% of the amount recovered for the government through the litigation.
